Vaughn Willoughby
Owner
Having grown
up in Graham, Alamance County is a special place to Vaughn. His first shot at landscaping began during his early teens
as he mowed lawns in his neigborhood in Graham. Upon graduating from Graham High School he studied landscape design, flower
and nursery crops at N.C. State University and graduated in 1977. Vaughn and Chester Honeycutt started Living Landscapes,
Inc. in 1982 with one simple idea, to provide a top quality landscape service for Alamance County. After Mr. Honeycutt's retirement
Vaughn became the sole owner and continued to build on that same simple concept. Provide quality, treat people the way you
would like to be treated and provide good customer service. Vaughn is very involved in the landscape community locally and
at the state level as well. He is the president on the Alamance County Farm Bureau, Inc. and serves on their state advisory
board for nursery, greenhouse and sod. He also serves on the board of directors for the Green Industry Council as Region 3
co-ordinator. He is also a member of the N.C. Nursery and Landscape Association and the Central N.C. Nurserymens Association.
He currently serves as president of the Altamahaw/Ossipee Civitan Club for 2009-2010. Vaughn is a N.C.D.A. licensed pesticide
applicator and a N.C. Registered Landscape Contractor. He is married to the lovely and talented Amy Pritchett Willoughby.
They have two children, Heather a 2007 N.C. State graduate, and George, an aspiring middle schooler. They reside in northwest
